  1. What's All This Fuss About Men/Contractors?

by on 03-07-2010 at 05:03 PM
If there were more women contractors out there, I have a feeling things would get done more completely. Things might last a little longer. I mean absolutely NO disrespect to Linda's Steve, or any other male on this site who is a contractor or does renov work on the side, you too norm.

We realized that we would have to save money by doing some of the work ourselves. For the most part, and because we've been able to take our time, things have been coming out pretty darned good. But, ...

June did still remember the rules for Bingo. When I asked her where she lived, she knew enough to open her wallet and read the address written on her pension card.

Dulcie didn’t play any of the board games. She drank a cup of tea and watched. ...

  3. The GarageBand Curse

by on 02-22-2010 at 12:37 PM (The Crackpot Ferments)
    Hello all,

Ever since I got our new iMac, I've been spending way too much time with GarageBand. To the point where I'm barely writing. If there is an upside, arranging music is probably better than playing World of Warcraft, but still...not writing = bad.

On the upside, I did a collaboration with a gentleman in Holland, which was fun. I put together the song and he added vocals. I still have no idea what the lyrics are about, but it was interesting to see how someone ...

  4. Hi - it's me

by on 02-18-2010 at 12:28 PM (Histrel's seaside stories)
Despite having a dearth of clients lately I seem to have been busy. I have been planning & plotting work & writing, catching up and learning.

I am collaborating with my geeky brother on a 'dummies' style book for new businesses who want a website - telling them what to expect, guiding them through the process, giving them ideas as to why they need a website & how their customers might use it, discussing usability & accessibility plus all the tech terms that go with ...

Half Moon Cay is the cruise line's private island. It has a nice beach, private pavilions, some small shops and a couple of bars. There was no pier s we had to go ashore by boat. This was the most relaxing day. We snorkeled, read and ate. That night we sailed back to Fort Lauderdale.
